Don't be fooled by the brief silence
Late July and August are undoubtedly the most frustrating months for a rugby journalist.
Yes, the summer is nowhere near as manic as when you are run off your feet in the middle of a season, especially in Welsh rugby where there is always some sort of controversy away from the field, but the need to provide regular informative content doesn't go away.
What seemed like a never-ending rugby season is finally over and while things have quietened down, those in Welsh rugby's corridors of power won't be resting. A plan to bridge the £29m funding gap to the professional game over five years is the number one priority on everyone's list ahead of the Welsh Rugby Union publishing its complete strategy this autumn.
