This summer, the Welsh Rugby Union will publish its long-awaited new strategy for all areas of the game in Wales.

With the help of Portas Consulting, senior figures at the WRU will review all areas before settling on a way forward. But this is by no means the first review into Welsh rugby and probably won't be the last.

The most recent, and arguably the most controversial review, was the Oakwell Report commissioned in 2022, which recommended cutting one of Wales' four professional sides.
